Laura Hall   

 

Laura Hall brings to her clients nearly 20 years experience in consumer and business-to-business marketing communications. With a strong track record directing brand marketing efforts and developing strategic integrated marketing programs for Fortune 500 companies, her experience covers many areas of industry ranging from consumer products, technology, business, finance, non-profit, healthcare and government to sports marketing, e-commerce, beauty/fashion, travel/tourism and retail.
 
As managing partner of the New York office of PainePR, a subsidiary of the global Cossette Communication Group, Laura leads a number of Procter & Gamble accounts, including Old Spice, Iams and Eukanuba, as well as Ancestry.com and Waterford Crystal. She also leads convergence communications for PainePR with its Cossette partners, integrating marketing communications and leveraging the network’s global expertise.
 
Dedicating most of her career to managing global public relations for her clients, core communications strategies have spanned launching new products and services, leveraging brand positioning to catapult or refresh a brand, crisis communications, issues management, changing public perception and generating significant media coverage, ultimately driving traffic to and awareness of a client’s business or product to stimulate trial and sales. Laura has held leadership positions at the most well-recognized communications agencies in the world in major markets including San Francisco, New York, Boston and Atlanta, representing high profile clients such as IBM, Procter & Gamble, The Walt Disney Company, Yahoo! and more. As a seasoned media trainer, she has professionally trained more than 100 spokespersons ranging from a U.S. President, celebrities and musicians to tribal leaders, educators, CEOs and authors.
 
Prior to joining PainePR, Laura spent seven years establishing, growing and managing the public relations division of integrated marketing agency Off Madison Ave, a leader in the southwest. Ms. Hall held a senior position at the San Francisco office of one of the world’s leading public relations firms, Fleishman-Hillard (F-H), where she served as Vice President of the consumer/technology practice. In this capacity, she ran business to consumer marketing initiatives for dot.com, consumer product and technology clients. Responsible for more than 13 dot.com companies, her client roster included yahoo.com, drugstore.com, launching beauty.com and more. Prior to F-H, she ran public relations for select Lever Bros. and Playtex products, as well as Gateway at the Cambridge office of Weber-Shandwick.
 
Laura spent the larger part of her career in New York working at boutique-styled public relations agencies, including Marina Maher and DeVries, launching some of the world’s best-known “mega” brands. She began her career at Cone Communications, Boston’s leading consumer PR agency, where she worked on Bausch & Lomb, Reebok Human Rights Awards and McDonald’s. Thereafter, she joined the Atlanta office of Hill & Knowlton (H&K), where she was promoted twice due to efforts launching two new divisions of IBM. She also worked on the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic games.
 
Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations and mass communications from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, along with a minor in art history. She has held a number of positions in the non-profit sector, including serving as co-chair of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona’s Wish Ball, auction organizer for Futures for Kids, and as member of The 100 Club. 
 
She is actively involved in volunteering, which she deems her passion along with world travel. She has adopted a family in Mombasa, Kenya and affords schooling for a young mother’s four children, all of whom she met on a volunteer mission at the Tumaini HIV/AIDS Children’s Home in Bamburi, Kenya. She also provides time and resources to helping a refugee family from Rwanda, of which three of its children suffer for HIV/AIDS. Laura also serves as a mentor to Clarkson, an 11-year old boy in Victoria Lake, Kenya, providing his family and community with support. She also has served as publicity chair of ARTCARE in Atlanta (an organization that raises money for AIDS research and Meals-on-Wheels), as well as handled PR for the Greater Boston Food Bank for Oxfam America.
