She has facilitated workshops on career transition skills, work/life balance, and relationship success for such organizations as Manchester Consulting, the International Coach Federation, the Learning Annex, New Life Expo, and the Olive Leaf Wholeness Center. Since 2004, she has been a Senior Trainer for top coach Laura Berman Fortgang‘s new life transition coaching program, “Now What?: 90 days to a New Life Direction”. She is on the faculty of the 92nd Street Y in NYC, as well as a resident expert on www.SelfGrowth.com and www.TheGuruNation.com.
As a licensed Inter-faith Minister, she loves creating unique wedding ceremonies and was the first Wedding Officiant ever selected by Modern Bride magazine for their prestigious listing, ”Top 25 Trendsetters in the Wedding Industry”; she now serves on their Advisory Board. Deborah also designs creative, meaningful rituals for individuals and families wishing to mark other important life passages as well, including baby welcomings and house blessings, Coming of Age ceremonies for teenage girls, retirements, and funerals.
Deborah has been featured in Modern Bride, New York Newsday, The Village Voice, and Utne magazine, and others. She has appeared on The Learning Channel's (TLC), A Wedding Story, in the documentary, Potential Partners, and on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. She has coauthored 101 Great Ways to Improve your Life, and the forthcoming The Authentic Woman Playbook: Delightful Discoverings of Your Divine Feminine. She writes a quarterly newsletter and is currently working on her third book entitled Circle of One: The Art of Becoming a SELF-centered Woman.
Deborah lives in New York City and has been married for 28 years to the same awesome guy (Peter). They have two equally fabulous sons, Ben, 26 and Chris, 22. She’s an accomplished singer, seamstress, and writer, and loves spending time practicing vinyasa yoga, walking or cross country skiing (weather permitting!) through the various Big Apple parks, and playing in the dirt in her little community garden plot.
